Clare Cronin is the Communications Manager of the Disability Federation, DFI of Ireland. Due to funding constraints in the charity sector she knows quite a bit about creative media and campaigning. DFI and Clare were 2018 winners of the PRII Award for excellence in PR for their #MakeWayDay campaign. Before joining DFI, she spent a decade at the highest level of the Irish media. She was a university teacher in Japan and worked as a Content Developer/Editor in New York. Clare also worked as an independent radio producer and her podcasts can still be found on RTE 1 and RTE Lyric FM.
She’s very keen on plain English and was one of the judges on National Adult Literacy Association or NALA’s, Plain English Awards.
She holds a B.A. from UCC, a post-grad. in journalism from DCU, FETAC Level 6 Train the Trainer and most recently a Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute.
