Meet the Judges – Irish Early Career Awards 2017

The Irish Early Career Awards team are delighted to announce the judges taking part in the 2017 Awards Event. The Irish Early Career Awards celebrate the achievements of young professionals under 35 working in a range of professional services sectors across Ireland. The Awards will honour the most exemplary young professionals in 13 distinct categories.

The judges have been chosen on the basis of their knowledge and expertise. Each panel consists of two judges who will judge each category. They will select from the full set of entries, a shortlist of three finalists per category from which the final winner will be determined. The judging day will take place between the 1st to the 20th of October 2017.

We are still in the process of finalising the remaining judges for the 2017 event so, watch this space for upcoming announcements.

The 2017 Judging Panel

MYLES Lynch Gartner Judging panelMyles Lynch: Vice President, Executive Partner Gartner

With a strong background in both building and leading, IT and Business Solution teams, Myles Lynch has proven himself as a skilled and knowledgeable IT leader, making him an ideal mentor for our young professionals. Myles has displayed his leadership skills over the years while working as a CIO for a number of global companies such as DHL, CEVA Logistics and International Airlines Group (IAG).

Myles joins our judging panel for the second year running and will be the lead judge in the Early Career Financial Services Professional of the Year category.

 

LAwrence Hickey judging panelLawrence Hickey: Chief Financial Officer, Digicel Group Limited

Lawrence has over eleven years of auditing, financial control and management experience with a number of successful corporates, he is a respected and high-profile figure in the Irish Finance industry. Lawrence qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1994 and from here he went on to work with Grafton Group Plc as a Group Management Accountant before taking up a position with Esat Telecom in Ireland as their Finance Manager. Lawrence then joined the Digicel Jamaican branch as a Financial Controller in 2002. He went on to serve as their Financial Director in Jamaica from August 2003. Presently, Lawrence is working as Chief Financial Officer of Digicel Group since February 2006, his key objective and responsibility is to drive Digicel’s financial goals through its dynamic growth.

We are delighted to have Lawrence on our panel again this year and he will be the lead judge in the Early Career Accounting Professional of the Year category.

 

Shay Dalton Judging PanelShay Dalton: Managing Director Lincoln Recruitment Specialists

As a serial entrepreneur, with over 20 years’ experience within the recruitment industry, Shay is a highly respected figure in this community and has been involved with some of the most established and respected financial recruitment names in the Irish market.

Shay has a wealth of knowledge in the Finance industry, having worked in a senior finance position for a number of years previous, before entering recruitment.  After selling his first recruitment Company in 2006, Shay went on to establishing Lincoln Recruitment Specialists in 2008. Shay and his team of expert recruiters now specialise in the recruitment of professionals across Accounting, Finance, Legal, HR, IT, Sales and Marketing in the Irish market.
